The Rookie of the Year Award is an opportunity to recognize a fellow REALTOR® for outstanding effort in the interest of their profession, their customers and clients, and their community.  The Rookie of the Year Award is awarded to a REALTOR® with two years or less in the real estate field who is on track to achieve $1 million in sales.  This individual is involved in BCAAR functions and/or committees and demonstrates enthusiasm for the real estate industry among peers and in the community.

The 2024 Rookie of the Year Award will be presented at the February 15, 2024 General Membership Meeting.

The Selection Committee will review all nominations and score them based upon meeting the following benchmarks:

• Enthusiasm for the real estate industry and a willingness to work with other REALTOR members.
• Involvement in the community organizations/projects and/or BCAAR activities, business meetings, events and committees.
• Achievement toward $1 million in sales within their first 2 years in the industry.

Eligibility & Criteria 

• Eligible nominees must have been in the business for 2 years of less as of the date of submission.  All information will be verified by BCAAR staff.
• Awards will be based on activity from January 1, 2022 – December 31, 2023.  
• Member must be in good standing with the Battle Creek Area Association of REALTORS®.
• Nominees must have active REALTOR® status for the duration of their Rookie status (their first 2 years).
• Nominees must hold primary membership with BCAAR.
• All nominations must be submitted by the deadline in order to qualify for submission.
• Nominees cited for an ethics violation within the past two (2) years are ineligible.
• All nominations must be submitted through the online form below in order to be considered.
