The Battle Creek Area Association of REALTORS® (BCAAR) believes strong communities begin with opportunities for people to put down roots, build stability, and thrive through property ownership.
Founded in 1915, BCAAR represents real estate professionals and industry partners serving Battle Creek, Marshall, and communities throughout Calhoun County. But our work extends beyond real estate transactions. We support informed homeownership, advocate for fair housing and private property rights, and invest in initiatives that help our communities grow and prosper.

Mission: The Battle Creek Area Association of REALTORS® (BCAAR) empowers REALTORS® and partners by enhancing the proficiency of our members, enforcing ethical standards, and fostering cooperation within our industry, so we can serve our community by creating broad and thriving property ownership.
How We Serve Our Community
Promoting Homeownership – Buying a home is one of life’s biggest financial decisions. We help connect people with trusted local real estate professionals and support educational opportunities that help individuals and families better understand the homebuying process, financing, and the path to homeownership.
Advocating for Property Rights and Housing Opportunities – We work with local leaders, policymakers, and community partners on issues affecting housing, real estate, and property ownership. We believe strong communities need a range of housing opportunities, responsible growth, and policies that support property owners and the people who call Calhoun County home.
Investing in Our Community – Through our Community Grant Fund, BCAAR supports local nonprofit organizations working to improve the lives of Calhoun County residents. Our investments focus on housing-related initiatives, community improvements, and basic needs because thriving communities require more than homes, they require opportunity, connection, and support.
Supporting Local Real Estate Professionals – Behind every successful real estate transaction are professionals who help people navigate important decisions. Who we are

Marketing & Membership Coordinator
Christina Rigel joined the Battle Creek Area Association of REALTORS® (BCAAR) team in May 2023 as Membership and Marketing Coordinator. She plays an important role in keeping the Association connected with its members and the community.
Christina oversees BCAAR’s social media, marketing, and advertising efforts, coordinates events and member activities, and maintains membership records. Through her organization, creativity, and attention to detail, she helps ensure members stay informed, engaged, and connected to the resources and opportunities BCAAR provides.
