Credit Building and Knowledge (July 21st, 2020) – Credit scores determine more than who can access loans. Many times, insurers use credit scores to set premiums coverage. Some landlords use them to determine who can lease their property. They can even be used to determine cell phone plan eligibility. Establishing a good credit history is one of the keys to building wealth in our country. Having a good credit score is essential to unleashing financial opportunities,
Sometimes life events or various circumstances can cause a credit score to decrease due to late/non-payments on existing loans, bankruptcy, foreclosures, high credit balances, etc. The good news? Credit scores can be repaired. By practicing healthy credit habits, disputing errors, paying on-time and minimizing credit risks, a poor credit score can be increased to help individuals and families meet their financial goals – buy a house, car, save for retirement/college, etc. Whatever the situation, there is a way to get your credit back on track.
