Take the Steps to Become a REALTOR®
To become a Michigan REALTOR®, one must first have a Real Estate Salesperson License through the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA).
Follow this 4-Step Process:
Step 1 – Education
Successfully complete a state-approved 40-hour pre-licensure course.
Step 2 – Application
Apply for a real estate salesperson license with the State of Michigan and submit the appropriate licensing fee. Important! You will have 36 months to submit this application after you successfully complete the licensing exam. During this time, you will need to select a supervising broker.
Step 3 – Exam
Sit for and pass the State of Michigan Real Estate Salesperson Exam.
Step 4 – Join a REALTOR® Association
Join the Battle Creek Area Association of REALTORS® by submitting the application for membership.
