Free Credit Repair Workshop on May 21 at First Congregational Church, BC
Battle Creek, MI, May 1, 2019 – The Battle Creek Area Association of REALTORS® (BCAAR) is hosting a credit repair workshop on Tuesday, May 21st, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. at the First Congregational Church located at 145 Capital Ave NE in downtown Battle Creek.
Credit scores determine more than who can access loans. Many times, insurers use credit scores to set premiums coverage. Some landlords use them to determine who can lease their property. They can even be used to determine cell phone plan eligibility. Establishing a good credit history is one of the keys to building wealth in our country. Having a good credit score is essential to unleashing financial opportunities,
Sometimes life events or various circumstances can cause a credit score to decrease due to late/non-payments on existing loans, bankruptcy, foreclosures, high credit balances, etc. The good news? Credit scores can be repaired. By practicing healthy credit habits, disputing errors, paying on-time and minimizing credit risks, a poor credit score can be increased to help individuals and families meet their financial goals – buy a house, car, save for retirement/college, etc. Whatever the situation, there is a way to get your credit back on track.
Kim Armanini, a seasoned mortgage professional from Hancock Mortgage Partners, LLC, will provide an overview of how credit works along with tips and trick to increasing credit scores to achieve your financial goals. Attendees will also learn about:
- The components of a credit score
- Items reported to a credit bureau
- Disputing credit report errors
- How to fix/build your credit
This event is free and open to the public. Pizza, refreshments and child care will be provided at no charge. RSVPs are requested. Please RSVP at www.bcaar.com/creditrepairFCCBC. For more information, please contact Evelyn Saucier at [email protected] or 269.962.5193.
