Leadership Committees

Budget/Non Dues Revenue Committee
  The group meets 5 times per year.
 

MISSION


Develop and prepare the Association’s annual financial budget. Evaluate financial requests and make recommendation to the Board of Directors. Expand on current non-dues income items, partner with other BCAAR Committees to complete tasks, partner with other associations and organizations to complete tasks, establish committee directed task forces, as needed, to develop ways to institute new revenue sources, focus on long term sources of income rather than short, quick ones and refrain from creating new income sources that take away business from current members and affiliates.
Facilities Committee
  This group meets as needed.
 

MISSION


The Facility Committee will oversee the maintenance and grounds. Prepare a yearly budget for facility grounds maintenance, improvements, repairs and capital improvements. The Committee will address immediate Facility needs and report to the Executive Committee. The Committee will also establish a pre-approved list of contractors, to be used when required and urgency allows. Facility Committee Members should be appointed by the Board of Directors annually.
Governmental Affairs/RPAC Committee
  The group meets the 2nd Friday of each month at 9 a.m.
 

MISSION


Guard and promote the interests of the real estate industry before all legislative bodies (Federal, State and Local) and perform other duties pertaining to legislation affecting real property and the licensing act.
Grievance / Professional Standards Committee
  The group meets when needed.
 

MISSION


Review all written complaints regarding ethics and business disputes filed with the Association. Committee members are required to attend MAR Professional Standards Training annually.
MLS Committee
  The group meets the 2nd Monday of each month at 9 a.m.
 

MISSION


Review, propose, adopt and amend the MLS Rules and Regulations, and propose fees and fines subject to review and approval of the Board of Directors. Evaluate and enhance the computer system. Monitor and update standard forms as needed.
Professional Development Committee
  The group meets the 2nd Thursday of each month at 9 a.m.
 

MISSION


The Professional Development Committee will upgrade the educational content offered, facilitate the growth and perception of the real estate profession, and promote the importance of the standards set forth in the REALTOR® Code of Ethics.
Technology Committee
  The group meets the 1st Monday of each month at 9 a.m.
 

MISSION


Keep the Association aware and informed of changes in technology that will allow members to compete effectively and efficiently in our real estate market.
Public Relations - Special Events Committee
  The group meets the 1st Thursday of each month at 9 a.m.
 

MISSION


Participate in civic affairs and promote real estate as a profession to improve REALTOR® public image. Review financial gift requests and make recommendations regarding same to the Board of Directors. Plan the social events, including arranging for a facility, menus, band, establishing prices and programs, all with the approval of the Board of Directors.

To increase membership, expand member benefits, and maintain BCAAR Bylaws consistent with MAR and NAR guidelines that establish and clarify our Association Policies.
